Help us build a better future for South Texas animals
PAAC is expanding! After years of saving lives from mobile trailers, we’re ready to break ground on a new state-of-the-art veterinary and outreach facility on Bear Lane. This new clinic will be three times larger, enabling us to expand our services, reach more pets in need, and significantly increase our capacity to provide care. We’re raising $6 million to make this dream a reality. We need your help. Every dollar brings us closer to opening our doors to more animals, more families, and more lifesaving work. Help us build the future of animal care. Donate today.

THE PAAC BUILD
For over a decade, PAAC has operated out of mobile trailers — doing everything possible to save lives with limited space and resources. Now, we’re building the permanent facility our community and its animals truly deserve.
This new, state-of-the-art veterinary clinic and community outreach center will expand access to affordable, high-quality care across South Texas. It will allow us to serve more families, perform more lifesaving surgeries, and continue reducing shelter intake — all while creating a hub for education, outreach, and impact.
We’ve secured land on Bear Lane, finalized architectural plans, and are ready to break ground. Now, we need your help to raise $6 million to bring this vision to life.
“This facility will change everything,” said Cheryl Martinez, President of PAAC. “It will mean more lives saved, fewer animals in shelters, and a stronger, healthier community.”
Every donation — big or small — brings us one step closer to opening the doors of a facility built for the people, the pets, and the future of South Texas.

Understanding the sun patterns throughout the year helped us strategize the building form and window placement.
Prevailing Winds
Understanding the yearly wind patterns allowed us to create a building form that is enriched with usable outdoor multi-functional space.

Exterior Materials
Researching the site was a key design force to ensure the selected materials were resilient to the coastal Texas climate.
Warm color tones connect the project to the natural Corpus Christi look and feel while also maintaining a subtle nod to the industrial buildings located around the project site.

A letter from PAAC’s President:
Thank you for choosing us to care for your pet. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey to a healthy, happy life. We understand that pets are family, and we are honored to support you in giving them the care they deserve.
We’re excited to share a bit of news about how we’re growing to meet the needs of pets in our community. We’ve recently acquired land on Bear Lane, near the new Food Bank, where we will be building a larger facility. With an additional 6,000 square feet, out new space will allow us to provide care for even more pets and increase capacity. Our hope is that this expansion will allow us to keep pets in loving homes and ease the burden on local shelters.

Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to increase our capacity by 15%, and we’ve also expanded into the Rio Grande Valley, making us the largest spay/neuter clinic in South Texas. These changes mean that more pets across our region can receive the compassionate care they need.
Your trust in us is the foundation of everything we do. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your pet’s life and for letting us share in the joy they bring. We’re committed to being here for you and your pets, providing the best possible care and working to ensure that every pet owner in our community has access to the services they need.
Thank you for being a part of our community and our journey.
For the Animals,
Cheryl Martinez - PAAC President
